Vans Skate Slip-On VCU Shoes Krooked By Natas For Ray in Blue. Part of the brand’s Skate Classics collection and designed in partnership with Mark Gonzales’ Krooked Skateboards and skater Natas Kaupas for Vans team rider Ray Barbee, the Vans Skate Slip-On VCU receives a creative update. Featuring 10oz canvas uppers with repositioned DURACAP reinforced underlays, this slip-on skate shoe also features elevated SICKSTICK rubber compounding and POPCUSH sockliners for increased boardfeel. A classic Waffle tread outsole combines well with the new two-part foxing for a locked-in wear, whilst the internal heel stiffeners and tongue straps help provide a stable fit. Finished with custom carved ‘Vans Krooked’ detailing across the outsoles, a blue and beige checkerboard print with creative character detailing and with custom ‘Vans Krooked by Natas for Ray Barbee’ insoles.

Joining the Vans skate team in ‘89 and renowned for his part in Powell Peralta’s ‘Ban This’ edit, artist, pro rider and musician Ray Barbee has continued to inspire many over the course of his reign. Backed by his recent Vans x Leica D-Lux collaboration, Vans’ latest homage to Ray Barbee is one that takes creative influence from two other much loved skaters; Mark Gonzales and Natas Kaupas.
