Vans AVE Pro Shoes

Designed in collaboration with pro skater Anthony Van Engelen, these all black Vans AVE Pro Shoes have seamless suede, textile and synthetic uppers which give the low-cut design a streamlined look. The combination of fabrics ensures breathability and comfort during all-day skate sessions whilst the padded tongue shows a stylised ‘Vans Off The Wall’ label design and sits comfortably against the top of the foot with a lace up fastening that works to keep the foot in place. Around the front of the toes a curved overlay panel has an embossed line and helps to increase protection from repetitive impact. To one side of the foot a woven Vans flag label has been added and around the reverse a curved suede heel panel sits underneath a woven ‘A.V.E’ vertical label. Similar to the mesh seen on the outside of the shoe, throughout these AVE Pro Shoes a breathable lining has been added and underfoot DURACAP reinforcement works alongside a LUXLINER and a translucent outsole which features a signature ultimate waffle tread pattern.

Known for only putting his name on the most technically advanced footwear designs, Los Angeles native Anthony Van Engelen - otherwise known as AVE - was made pro by Alien Workshop in 1999 aged 21 which led him to a long standing partnership with legendary skate brand Vans. In 2019 the Vans AVE Pro was debuted, 15 years after the team rider’s first cupsole model and features an array of contemporary details which have led to the shoe being one of the brands most impressive designs.
